Misti Dawn got her first tattoo -- on her chest -- on her 18th birthday and she started modeling that same year for the alt porn site Suicide Girls. Her first set for Suicide Girls went live while she was still in high school. She quickly gained popularity and was soon featured on the 2005 Suicide Girls/Skin Deep calendar and many tattoo magazines. All of her tattoos have been done by the same artist, Adam Potts in Louisville Kentucky.
After leaving Suicide Girls in 2006, Misti took some time off from modeling and focused on her education. In 2007 she began modeling for Burning Angel. Her photos for Burning Angel were published in Burning Angel: The Book and she was invited to sign in Manhattan for the book release. Her next signing appearance came at the Exxxotica NY convention, also on behalf of Burning Angel. From there, Misti garnered a feature in Extreme Magazine and made appearances at Erotica LA and feature dancing with Joanna Angel. (She had begun her exotic dancing career in Evansville, Indiana at Scores Sports Bar -- who at first would not hire her due to her being "too heavily tattooed.")
In November of 2008, Misti began to shoot hardcore scenes for Burning Angel. Her first scene was shot with Brian Street Team. Since then she has shot with stars such as Joanna Angel, James Deen, Sean Michaels, Andy San Dimas and Belladonna. She has been featured on the cover of the Burning Angel Magazine and is also the weekly "weather girl" for Dave Navarro's Radio Show, Dark Matter.
She is currently working with Burning Angel to launch her own personal site, MeowMistiDawn.com, is one of the nine part membership ring of Burning Angel.com.
